Straw Man Army - The Midnight March
"Straw Man Army" was inspired by a Union officer's quote after the Battle of Big Bethel (1861): they were attacking 'a man of straw.' I turned that metaphor into a ghostly recruiter who whispers bad ideas and feeds on mistakes. From friendly fire chaos to the empty Little Bethel position, the Straw Man watches with a grin as the Union recruits itself. A haunting Civil War folk tale.
